Does an APEX camera work without Wi-Fi?
Yes. APEX transmits via the 4G mobile network available at the installation site. No internet box is required.
How does the 3-year warranty work?
3-year warranty / Camera replaced with a new one. To request a replacement, contact JD Distribution at contact@jd-distribution.com with your order number and a description of the problem.
Is an electrical outlet required to install an APEX?
No. APEX packs combine a rechargeable battery and solar power. Actual battery life depends on activity, sunlight, temperature, and network quality.
Is the SIM card included with the camera?
Yes. The NG-SIM is included in each pack, and the subscription is paid separately in NG Connect. Rounded monthly prices including VAT: Basic €3.20 (50 MB), Standard €5.60 (350 MB), Premium €7.20 (2 GB) and Professional €11.95 (4 GB). Live view is included in all 4 plans. What network coverage is required for an APEX camera?
Usable 4G mobile coverage must be available at the installation site. The NG-SIM automatically selects the best available mobile network based on local coverage.
Can I view my APEX camera from my phone?
Yes. Each camera must have its own SD memory card to record and view its photos and videos on your smartphone, in the NG Connect app. The card is sold separately and can be purchased here or from another seller. The NG-SIM and an active data plan are also required to receive captures remotely.
Is an SD card inserted into the camera required to view images and videos on my phone?
Yes. Each camera must have its own SD memory card to record the photos and videos that you view in the NG Connect app on your phone. The memory card is not included in the APEX packs. You can buy it on this site or from another retailer: all brands are suitable. A microSD card must be used with an SD adapter. To receive captures remotely, an NG-SIM and an active data plan are also required.
What is the difference between APEX PRO, ULTRA and MAX?
The 3 packs share the same camera and surveillance features. PRO includes the built-in battery and 5 W solar panel. ULTRA adds a solar panel with a 12,000 mAh rechargeable battery. MAX adds two external Power Packs. The choice is based on the included power equipment.
For which sites is a standalone 4G camera suitable?
APEX is designed to remotely monitor private areas with mobile coverage: farms, construction sites, holiday homes, sheds, warehouses, stables, land and forests.
How to choose a 4G camera for a construction site or warehouse?
First, check the 4G coverage at the site. Then, choose the backup power supply based on sunlight, detection frequency, and ease of access to the site. The APEX PRO, ULTRA, and MAX packs offer the same monitoring features. A data subscription is required.
Is the memory card included in the APEX packs?
No. Each camera requires its own memory card to record and view photos and videos on your smartphone. You can buy one on this website or from a retailer of your choice: any brand will do, provided it is an SD card compatible with the APEX. A microSD card requires an SD adapter. We offer a 64 GB microSD card with an SD adapter for €25 including VAT.
What accessories are already included with my camera?
Each APEX pack includes an NG-SIM, a 5 W solar panel and the necessary mounting hardware. APEX ULTRA adds the APEX solar panel with a 12,000 mAh lithium battery. APEX MAX adds two 20,000 mAh lithium Powerpacks. A memory card and data subscription must be purchased separately.
Can I order a camera with its accessories?
Yes. Add your camera, then choose the add-ons in the cart or under accessories. The memory card is offered in the cart, without being automatically added. The Solo and Twin Powerpacks are compatible with ULTRA; the Twin is included with MAX. They are not suitable for PRO and its 5 W solar panel.
Which subscription should I choose for an APEX camera?
The NG-SIM offers are the same for APEX PRO, ULTRA and MAX. Basic includes 50 MB per month and 30 days of photo storage; Standard, 350 MB and 90 days; Premium, 2,000 MB and 365 days. Choose according to the volume of images transmitted, then track your usage in the app. Videos and remote usage also use data.
Where to pay for and manage the NG-SIM subscription?
The subscription is activated and paid for separately to Nordic Gamekeeper through its NG Connect app. It is not added to the APEX Surveillance cart. Nordic Gamekeeper offers no-contract deals managed within the app. Check the rates and the terms of change or cancellation when activating.
Does the plan guarantee a certain number of photos or minutes of video?
The number of photos is an estimate: approximately 100, 700, 4,000 or 8,000 HD photos per month depending on the plan. In SD, expect about 3.5 times more, i.e., 350, 2,450, 14,000 or 28,000 photos. Videos and live viewing also consume data from the plan.
